Artwork
Q. What are the standard colours available for printed RPET cups?
A. Screen printed using food safe inks, in a choice of 13 vivid spot colours available to see in this link:
Q. Can I have other colours printed?
A. Yes. We offer a full colour matching system for an additional cost.
Q. If my artwork is for full colour printing onto paper cups, what are the finishing options?
A. As standard we are able to supply you with either a matte/uncoated or gloss/coated finish.
Q. What artwork details do I need to provide?
A. If you have it, we need any images you want in your design in a vectorised format. This is usually in .ai or .pdf file format and has the full details of the layers and any colours in the image. If you don’t have this, but do have a flat file, such as .jpg or .png then we can redraw these for our internal use at an additional cost. Then, text for the design will either be in the same format as above, or you can confirm the font used. We have design facilities available if you require a more comprehensive service.
Q. Do you charge an origination/setup fee?
A. Yes we do, but only for the first time we print your design. Any re-prints don’t attract an origination.
Q. Can I change my design?
A. If you decide to either change your design or, for example, add a further one-off design for, say a holiday period, then this will attract an additional origination charge.
Delivery
Q. Where do you deliver to?
A. Well, anywhere really. Tell us the delivery address when we quote you and we will include any delivery costs in the quote.
Q. How will my delivery arrive?
A. We send all deliveries by courier and will be either by package delivery, or by pallet if the quantity is 18 cases or more. Let us know if you can’t handle a pallet delivery and we can get it dropped by tail lift.
Q. How will I know when my delivery is due?
A. When you order we will confirm an estimated despatch date. This will be confirmed once the courier has the consignment.
Recycling
Q. Are your clear PET cups recyclable/recycled?
A. All our PET cups are what’s known as RPET. They have a recycled content which is the minimum required by the country in which they will be used. Also, PET is the most widely recycled PET in the UK, so RPET cups are a great way to maximise the chance of recycling. This is always, however, dependent on the local authority in control of the area in which the cup is disposed in. If you have a controlled environment where your cups are used, such as an arena or stadium, then please do ask us about the collection and recycling options available.
Q. How confident can I be that my paper cups will be recycled.
A. This depends on a number of factors, but primarily the local authority in your area and their recycling priorities/facilities. Secondly, it depends on the which type of paper cup you use. Two types, PE-coated and PLA-coated, contain plastic. A third, aqueous-coated, contains some polymer, but can still be recycled through your standard local waste paper recycling stream, and generally include a message or icon on the cup telling you this. The two plastic-coated cups, however, aren’t easy to distinguish as they both look the same. PE coated cups have a greater chance of being recycled as there are 5 recycling centres (July 2023) in the UK that will accept this type of cup. PLA-coated, sometimes known as compostable cups, cannot be recycled using these facilities. They have to be industrially composted, but this is very difficult to achieve, and it is worth pointing our that these will not compost in a standard garden composter. They require a specific heat and moisture environment to be successfully composted.
Payment
Q. How and when should I pay for my order?
A. We always send you an estimate of any and all charges that will apply to your order before you make a decision. If you are happy to go ahead then you can approve the estimate. We will then send you an invoice generated from the estimate. We currently offer the ‘iwocaPay‘ facility to our customers, a link to which can be found on your invoice. Through this you are able to pay the invoice in full or explore the option to spread the cost over 3 or 12 months. Whichever you choose, the lead time to despatch of your goods starts the moment you press go. Just be aware that you need to have approved your design artwork as well.
